We're currently in the thick of rehearsals for 'The Addams Family - A New Musical' here at MTDXB HQ (based at Sunmarke School) and the entire cast of 50, and dedicated crew, are pulling out all the stops to create an amazing show for our audiences.
Our Production Team, headed up by Lauren Noble of Collab Company, is meeting weekly to source and design all kinds of kooky props and our main sponsor KPS Interior Design & Fit-Out is mid-build of our stunning Addams Family house set, which will blow you away! Their experienced designers have really captured the gothic, ‘spooky’ feel that we asked for and it is set to rival any professional set out there. When the curtains open, we hope the audience will be as impressed as we are!
Our principal cast is working extremely hard, under the direction of Claire Bennett, to bring The Addams Family to life. and they are having to contend with learning lines, songs, accents and even a tango dance! They were hand-picked from over 80 auditionees and we have been blown away with the level of talent and commitment they have shown us so far. It really is shaping up to be a fantastic show!

'The Addams Family - A New Musical' is an hilarious love story, where the Addams' daughter Wednesday has fallen for a 'normal' boy, who she brings home, with his conservative parents in-tow, to meet her not-so-normal family for the first time. We'll stop there, so we don't spoil the show, but you can be assured that there's something here for all members of YOUR family to enjoy. too!
Tickets will be on general release soon, and we've already had over 300 tickets reserved for families and friends by our cast members! But don't worry, there'll be plenty more to go round! We'll have the online ticket system up and running in a matter of days - but you'd better be quick to book otherwise you may just miss out on Dubai's musical event of the year!
With performances at the fabulous Sunmarke School Theatre in Jumeirah Village Triangle at 7:30pm on Thursday 1 June, Friday 2 June and Saturday 3 June, and a Saturday matinee at 2:30pm, you'll be able to pick up a ticket for just AED 150 (less than half the price of a Dubai Opera ticket - and TWICE the fun!) and we guarantee you'll have a deliriously delightful couple of hours' entertainment complete with a 12 piece band of experienced musicians led by the wonderful Adam Laird, whilst safe in the knowledge you will be supporting Dubai’s first and only adult musical theatre group!
