The MTDXB Committee 4.0
As we head into the 2025 season, our Committee Team has undergone some further fine-tuning, honing in on the skills that we all bring to the table. While most Committee members have been around for some time, some roles have been realigned and we welcome our newest member, Emilie, who brought her social media A-game to the marketing efforts for 'Grease'. Read on for details of the team and their respective responsibilities.
Meet the Team
Founder & Chairman
James 'Mitch' Mitchinson
Mitch and his wife Beth formed MTDXB in 2021 to bring stage musical events to audiences in Dubai.
As co-chairmen (chairpeople?) Mitch and Beth share coordination of production activities and Mitch can often be found lending his hand to directing and technical duties too.
Founder & Vice-Chair
Bethanie Mitchinson
Alongside Mitch, Beth takes a leading role in running the MTDXB Community.
She's a seasoned pro when it comes to choreography and is responsible for the show-stopping routines you'll see at our shows, as well as running our popular dance workshops.
Secretary & Treasurer
Glenn Atkinson
Our Glenn manages our diaries, balances the books, keeps us in the black and is the go-to when it comes to all things money (think of Scrooge McDuck with an Irish accent).
Glenn brings a wealth of community theatre experience to the team and also manages our relationships with the various professional licensors we work with.
Marketing & Digital Officer
Brian Fletcher
Our technical wizard, Brian brings a creative edge to the MTDXB Team while supporting our various production efforts in any-which-way he can.
Responsible for all our branding and design work, he also keeps the website updated and now leads our marketing activities, in addition to creating visual and video assets for their social media activities.
Social Media Officer
Emilie Rochford
When Brian asked for volunteers to help with the marketing charge for 'Grease', agency owner Emilie stepped up and quickly became his right-hand woman!
A social media strategist and website wunderkind, Emilie officially joins the Committee for our new season and brings with her fresh ideas and energy to help propel MTDXB to new audiences online and beyond!
Social Events Officer
Sophie Worrell
Alongside our stage productions, MTDXB continues to provide a growing number of social events and workshops for our community.
Sophie leads the planning & coordination ensuring our calendars are full-to-the-brim with MTDXB-related appointments!
